Lost, stolen and ritually destroyed artworks.

I can’t help but smile when I think that perhaps I am one of the current creators with the greatest number of ritually destroyed pieces. The crafting of magical artworks able to create such strong reactions was never my intention. I feel somehow flattered because they provoked no indiference whatsoever!

I hope, however, that this does not become something usual as it constitutes a flagrant violation of my moral rights.

This sort of HR Giger´s homage, here on a balcony in Martín de los Heros, Madrid, was ritually destroyed to avoid its alleged evil omen. /// /// /// /// Este homenaje a HR Giger o algo así fue destruído ritualmente por una embarazada para evitar su supuesto mal rollo.

This is the outline on paper of the installation (3 m wide & 3m high) that was hanging on the hall of the Escuela de Arte de Huéscar, as a piece in the exhibition Maternity which took place during 2003 if I recall properly. I forgot to pick it up afterwards and perhaps it lies in the school warehouse. Formed by a set of triangles and another one made out of squares, the combination was a son, a compound of both genes. /// /// /// /// Este es el boceto sobre papel de la instalación de 3 por 3 metros que colgó en la Escuela de Arte de Huéscar como parte de la exposición “Maternidad” en 2003. Olvidé recogerlo.

No puedo evitar sonreir si pienso que tal vez sea uno de los creadores actuales con mas obras sacrificadas ritualmente. La confección de obras mágicas capaces de crear tales reacciones viscerales nunca fue mi intención y me siento de alguna manera halagado porque al menos no produjeron indiferencia.

Espero, sin embargo, que esto no se convierta en una costumbre ya que constituye una flagrante violación de mis derechos morales.

Tengo sospechas de que algunas piezas fueron hurtadas y respecto a otras no me cabe duda. Si alguna de las enumeradas aquí apareciera, por favor, sírvase ponerse en contacto conmigo. Le aseguro que no pertenece a su actual poseedor.
